1/10 (could've been 0). Here's why:
I never saw the TV show THE DUKES OF HAZZARD is based on. In this case it doesn't matter because, even if it was a very faithful adaptation, it wouldn't make up for the thin plot and the unfunny gags. This was Jessica Simpson's film debut. Surprisingly, she's not the worst part. Sure, her performance is bland, but it's not like a better actress could've done more with the role. LUKE & BO DUKE were written to be loveable idiots, but Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott don't display the required charisma. Actually, they don't display any charisma at all, which is why the characters come off as annoying morons instead. At least they have enough chemistry so that the audience can buy them as cousins who are closer than brothers. BOSS HOGG is supposed to be suave yet threating, but Burt Reynolds isn't menacing at all. The only good aspect of the movie is that, during the scenes in Atlanta, script writers John O'Brien and Jonathan L. Davis acknowledge that the characters are rednecks and how they don't even know it.
