Bully is straight GRIMY. I read the book, as well. It's basically a word-for-word transcribe, with more details on scenery & characters, of course. Both very good movies, yet very different feel in Larry Clark's Bully. Mean Creek is more coming of age-type film. Similar, in some ways to Stand By Me, yet a touch more serious.

Its quite good dutch movie with similar plot/theme.
Eng subs also exist.

You should watch "Project X". Its teenagers partying gone bad. Big party, ends up with explotions and angry old psycho. Great film.

Did you really call Project X a "great film"? Maybe rephrase to: 'I THINK Project X is a great film...' Yeah, that works better.

Check out Paranoid Park (2007) and George Washington (2000). Both great films
