Who Will Play The Swede?

This movie is marked as coming out this year, which means the filming would have to be all but finished. Is it a secret? I'm curious to see who they will get to portray these characters? Will Gary Sinise be the author again? Or will they get an older guy to do it?

The Development Status is "unknown." Is this being kept under wraps or are they just delayed in getting this project underway?

The book has very well-developed characters, so it's interesting to see who gets a chance to try to portray them. Particularly Merry. It will have to be a fairly young girl to pull that one off. She's not a very attractive, skinny girl so we'll see if any of the young Hollywood starlets even dare touch it with a ten and a half foot pole. Christina Ricci might be getting too old to do something like this.

Christina Ricci would not work for Merry. She is too old, has dark hair, too thin, and too short. But she would make the perfect Rita. When I was reading the book I was imagining her as Rita.
