What festival do you guys think this will premier at? (Assuming it premiers at a festival, though it seems like the kind of film that would.)

Seems like it'll be ready in time for TIFF this year, which would be amazing because I could go see it.

Awesome!
Though I wish they'd not wait until August 23rd to release the schedule, I want to go catch American Pastoral and whatever other films look good on the days around that premier, but I can't take off work for the entire festival and as I learned last time I went to TIFF last minute lodging is a pain I had to switch hotel rooms every night I was there, but you can't book earlier if you don't know until the end of August what days you're going to go.

If lack of hotels is the only issue, I would suggest putting an ad in Kijiji to rent a room in a house/condo during this period. We have friends who have gone to TIFF since it first started. They live in Little Italy part of Toronto (downtown neighbourhood) and take two weeks off for the festival. They have 3 bedroom home and have no children. They will often offer their house out during this period for festival fans. It's a win-win situation! Go watch movies and then get to discuss with like-minded others.
