I don't get the Hate for it, decent movie.
I really don't understand all the hate for this movie. I mean, it's not the best movie around, but overall it is very good, probably an 8.5 IMO. I think compared to more recent Best Picture winners even going back eight years or so, this movie is better than the majority of them. If anything, channel your hatred at this movie winning best picture towards "Shakespeare in Love." Beating "Saving Private Ryan," is one of the worst faux pas in Oscar history. Saving Private Ryan is probably the best war movie of all time. Of course opinions on movies are a dime a dozen, but at least this movie had some very intriguing uses of irony, and also some very strong acting performances... forgetting a couple *cough* Brendan Fraser. Michael Pena was exceptional.
Please don't make insult at me 😉
