Best Bulgarian Film Ever?

I went in expecting this DVD release to be mostly awful, but I was pleasantly surprised by some good acting, an interesting story line, and a successful mix of genres. Obviously, some of it was derivative, but I found the movie enjoyable over all. Your mileage may vary.

Why did you think it was Bulgarian??

reply

because its bulgarian
the most part of the movie was filmed here in bulgaria
a big part of the cast and the most of the crew (includin pyrotechnicians and animators) are bulgarian also.
well .. i think this is an average movie .. not so good, but not made for the cinema
i give it 6 out of 10

All of it was filmed in Bulgaria. They try to cover it up with American cars, but you always see something that doesn't belong in an American setting, such as European style buildings and cars pop up quite frequently.

I thought this movie had potential, but the good ideas weren't well developed.

The main cars in the movie were all Audis. Not an american car.

reply

Yes most cars were Audis or BMW's, however in one scene you can see they had put plates on left of each car with US numbers, the streets were done well I thought for the budget and it looked better than a lot of movies that us foreign locations.

I think a lot of movies are shot in Bulgaria now cos of the cost is far cheaper than LA or London.

reply

what determines which country the film is "from" ? THE MONEY. It's an American movie that happened to be shot largely in Bulgaria

reply

I dont think this is even half a bulgarian movie, half bulgarian movie is something like alien hunter which had way more people in the cast and crew who were bulgarians
