Awesome Bad

I liked the premise, loved the acting by the leads but some of the plot devices felt wrong. For example:

The move to Phase 2 of the program felt rushed and certainly didn't feel like Ray Liotta's character had earned it by then.

Why place him anywhere near his old life? Surely the risks of being recognised would have been too great.

Why would Stephen Rae's character allow Phase 2 to have continued for so long considering the knowledge he had.

How did they swim up from the lake so far away from the Crash that the 2 cars pursuing them were unable to see them surface (immediately).

Overall I was entertained by the movie but can't help feel a little more tightening of the script here and there would have lead to a film gem. Nevertheless I shall be recommending this to my film buddies but will probably attach an awesome bad warning to my recommendation.
