When do I need to start watching atlantis?

I currently rewatching stargate sg-1. At what season or so, is it okay for me to also watch Atlantis at the same time?

Confession: ((I might get a few stones thrown at me, but)) I never watched SG-1. I had entertained the idea of going back and watching just the episodes that anyone from Atlantis was on, but never ended up doing that. Oh well.....

So, I am unable to help you with that. Hope someone else can.



You're missing out. SG1 is probably even better than Atlantis. I liked them both, so I can't really say which I prefer. I recommend that you watch it and am kinda envious that you still have that adventure ahead of you :/

When I watched both in tandem on Amazon Prime, I checked the date an episode aired. That's the easiest way to get your ducks in a row :) The Atlantis show starts off right after Dr. Weir announces that she'll head the Atlantis team and leaves through the Stargate in an SG1 episode (end of season 7). Once I got a bit too much ahead with Atlantis and saw a spoiler for SG1, ugh, since then I made sure to switch more frequently and check those air dates lol
