Unresolved elements from SG-1, Atlantis and Universe

I'm sad that five years after Stargate SG-1 franchise is ended there are still lot of unresolved elements from all of these shows. Maybe those are explained in the books but I don't consider books as canon elements. I don't wanna read, I wanna see the action.

Eli states they can't find the Novan starships in empty space. This is not entirely accurate as by knowing when they left, where they were going and at what speed you can using basic physics as Distance = Speed x Time. Also any ships should have been detectable by Destiny as they were able to detect the Ursini ship graveyard from only a days journey in FTL and given it only takes 10 days journey to the New Colony it should not have been hard to detect them the same way.
