I survived. *SPOILERS*

I must watch too much "I survived" because I was sure these two were going to survive, not to mention, it was based on a true story, and who better to tell it than the people experiencing the horror of being left in the middle of the ocean.
But I get that it's loosely based on a true story, so that's not really my point.

Anyway, there are so many stories of people who survive the vast and deep, treacherous, shark-infested oceans, stranded much further from land than this couple, that I thought either they could find their way back to land as a few people on "I survived" did, or that the idiots who abandoned them, could, at the very least, point the rescue helicopters, boats, etc in the right direction. Because, how far could they have drifted, really?

Having said all that, I'm ignorant as hell about the ocean. All I know is that you can't drink salt water, there are sharks, and that man himself is no match for the fortuitous and chaotic oceanic currents. And, I also know that when ascending from it's great depth, decompression must take place (yet James Cameron emerges from 57,000 feet as if he climbed out of a bathtub).

Yeah, you are right: you should stop watching survival shows! Just because some people could survive a deathly situation doesn't mean everybody can...this is why the show is called "I survived". Duh!
They drifted VERY MUCH apart (as shown in the movie). Besides, this actually happened: a couple died after being left on the ocean.
What was your point anyway?
