he has killed people, seen people killed and people are constantly trying to kill him.

Well, I don't know if you read the books too, but *Spoilers*

Harry has constant nightmares and even has a bit of an attitude in the 5th book. They toned it down for the movie. The only time he really snaps in the movie is when he screams "LOOK AT ME!" to Dumbledore, but in the book he really has anger issues.

I havent read the books. but if this really happened to a kid, it would mess them up for life.

Depends on his make up. He could have tolerance for shock.
