Excellent movie
No doubt about it!
shareYes. It's the only one of the trilogy that can even be called a "movie", meaning a comprehensible story with a beginning and end and act structure and series of logical scenes that convey a theme. I will never understand the hype for Nolan and his nonsense. I think this movie was either an accident or saved by studio meddling.
shareCurious. I looked it up. This one was written by Goyer, the other two were written by his brother. I'd say that sums it up.

I would have argued with this or at the very least disagreed with you ....
As The Dark Knight has always been IMO one of the best CBM's ever....buuuuuuuuuuuuuut.
I watched The Dark Knight 2 weeks ago for The first time in about 6 years....
and I was struck with an almost "Santa isnt real" feeling?
The story doesn't make any god damn sense..The events that take place are impossible
I dont know if its the movie just isnt aging well, Or maybe Im getting more mature as I get older....But for me to watch the movie now, I literally have to suspend all believe...
there are things that happen in TDK, event that take place that are just impossible....
The Hospital Blowing up and The Logistics behind it for that to have happened are so IMPOSSIBLE its almost infuriating to think about....
The way the Hospital Blew up, It was a controlled Demolition......The Joker would have need A team Of Demolition experts to go in and statically Planet The Dozens, Maybe HUNDREDS of charges through the hospital, All Wired together, set to Explode....
The Scene where The Joker crashes Dent's fundraiser, There is absolutely Zero reason why The movie should not have ended there.....
The Fundraiser is taking place on The Top floor of the building, Meaning The Joker Literally had to walk in The Door on The Ground Floor and take The elevator to the top floor, Meaning thats also how he HAS TO LEAVE, Batman and rachel literally get thrown off the top of the building and are now on the street....Meaning, Batman and All the cops in the city would be waiting for The Joker on the ground floor to come back down....
I get that every movie has parts where you just have to suspend believe and go with it....But The Dark Knight has Pure Impossibilities...
Now with all that being said, Its still great...but I do admit ....

This is a true statement...The Dark Knight story is incomprehensible, and events that happen are Impossible
and as for The Dark Knight Rises, I've always enjoyed it but form my first viewing The story didnt make sense and IMO was filled with Plotholes and ending that would have been Trashed if anyone but Nolan directed it...
IMO Both The Dark Knight and Rises are very good CBM's....but I'm just not delusional about them....They have huge problems, But I can overlook them and still enjoy them....
But I do not enjoy or like TDKRs ending....IMO that was god awful
I love it and still enjoy watching it. With the exception of Katie Holmes playing a real bitch in Rachel Dawes (wasn't a likable character in the least), the rest of the characters were well written and acted, the story was engrossing and the action was superb. The chase scene where he's driving the Batmobile over roofs through Gotham is one of the best ever!
An excellent CBM for anyone - people who read comic books and those who are just casual movie viewers, looking for something fun to watch.
As for as suspension of belief, this is a CBM for goodness sake! People should watch it and enjoy it for what it is.
Absolutely. It's still my favorite Batman film. The Dark Knight is awesome and all but I love how this one actually is about Batman.
shareIts the most rewatchable of the Batman films IMO.
