Of the Nolan Trilogy, I've only got TDK

In fact, I have it as a pairing with 1989 Batman, cos they both focus on the Joker, the only villain Batman needs.

I think we only need The Dark Knight from the Nolan Trilogy, as I think BB sucks balls, especially with that huge plothole with the microwave emitter not killing people as well as vaporising the water. And whilst Bane was mostly memorable, his sad death and the ludicrous plot of the criminal element taking over Gotham and turning it into a prison, was impossible to believe. And frankly, I think Ras Al Ghul (or however you fucking spell it) was only invented for this trilogy - I'd never heard of them before then.

Nope, it's Batman and the Joker... always.

reply

You're kidding, right? Ra's Al Ghul has been in the Batman comics since the early 1970s.
He made a number of appearances in Batman: The Animated Series in the 1990s.

reply

I don't read comics.

reply

Well then you can't complain about never having heard of some characters.

reply

Exactly.

reply

I never really saw the Animated Series, neither, although I would see that if I could.

reply

None of the villains were invented for the trilogy, except for maybe John Daggett but there was a guy in the comics apparently named Roland Daggett who was also Bruce's business rival. Whether they are intended to be the same character is possible but not confirmed.
