I'm happy the Burton Batmans have made something of a comeback. There's no longer pressure to be either a Burton or Nolan fan, like ten years ago. I like the Nolan films, but they're too concerned with the mechanics of plot for my taste. Burton is light on plot, but he gets the look and the mood so very right, and that's just as important.
I enjoyed Batman Forever, to be honest. I wish Schumacher hadn't made B&R, otherwise BF would be much better regarded. The only things that don't work in BF are 1. Tommy Lee Jones' Two-Face. 2. The Bat-butt shot. 3. The cringey dialogue on the rooftop between Batman and Chase Meridian. 4. The neon gang.
BF is a decent time-waster, with a solid score by Elliot Goldenthal.
It's all a matter of opinion. Some people rank Batman89 higher than TDK triolgy because they grew up with it doesn't necessarily make them unintelligent
