Being that WB has decided to completely ignore The Dark Knight Trilogy and give the Batman franchise to Ben Affleck, do you think this film will eventually have to change its title?
No? That would be a very strange decision and I'm not sure how they would even do that. Maybe if they rereleased the movie on dvd they could rebrand it at that time.
I think that the "Begins" in the title is more of a reference to the large amount of origin story in the film, not the fact that they were rebooting the series.
That's what I meant. Cause now you have Batman V. Superman and being that Batman Begins is the only film in the series to use Batman. I was just pointing that out. You know? In the event WB tries to pull some nonsense.
You know what I meant. But, you have a point. Though Batman Forever and Batman & Robin could vanish from the face of the earth and I might not care. Same might go for Batman and Batman Returns IMO....

Sort of. I meant more like since Nolan's films are known as The Dark Knight Trilogy if that meant WB would try to change the title of Batman Begins in order to make the new Batman films entirely separate.

If they were going to change it to "The Dark Knight Begins" they would have done it already. It's been years since the movies came out.
Audiences these days are smarter than they were back in the 70s. An average Joe then might not know that "Raiders of the Lost Ark" was an Indiana Jones film or that "Star Wars" is actually the fourth installment, but these days they would.
The caped crusader would've been a cooler title. I remember when I heard the dark knight was the new title of the begins sequel I practically came jelly beans.
