This movie made me really dislike Boune.

His character took such a hard nose dive when his gf of two years is *beep* in the head, dragged from a river, and shows 1% of emotion of a normal human being would. In fact, he's showed emotion numerous times over superfluous situations.

Don't like what I'm saying? Then call 1800-Ima-CryBaby and ask for Waaaaaa.

He was forcing himself to focus on tracking down, and killing Kirill (The man who killed Marie instead of him in India by mistake). He took down everyone who got in his way (Berlin, Naples, Moscow). When Kirill discovered Bourne was in Moscow, he attempted to kill him twice (At the bridge, and later in the tunnel). He was trying to frame Bourne for the death of the two agents he shot in Berlin at the beginning of the film.

It was subtle and in character. He obsesses over the why of her death, something tied to what they'd been trying to piece together already - his past. He was on the run and his survival mode conditioning had kicked in. He didn't kill Abbott and risked life and limb in Moscow just to tell his first victims' daughter the truth of how they died - those were powerful testaments to how her influence and death affected him.

It's a good thing Bourne really doesn't dislike you...

Bourne looked shocked when he lost Marie. But you can see the unhurt back pane, shown a third time, after the police had pulled the car out of the river. That explains why he didn't seek revenge. He wanted to clear up the murder which caused him to get flashbacks and nightmares.

So, more about him than Marie.

In fact, most people don't call him out for it, but Marie was doing fine (or at least alive) when he found her and made her murder a foregone conclusion.

Marie was dead, whether Jason had caught up with her or not. If he doesn't catch up with her at the end of the last movie, she would still be tracked down, and tortured , and probably killed. It's not good to know Bourne!
