I always wondered how he was going 2 try 2 get the other guy out also because he doesn't seem like the type that has an every "man 4 himself" policy like others in these type of situations. Because the second he steps out they b shooting at him relentlessly and he had 2 use flight (rocket fire) 2 get out.

He stated the plan as they were getting ready. Yinsen was supposed to keep himself safe while Tony cleared the way.
Yinsen realized he wouldn't be ready before the terrorists got in so he sacrificed himself to buy Tony time and save him.
