Adam Sandlers best performance?

Okay so I'm not an adam sandler fan by any means (I hate his movies)

But this movie was not only touching, and fun but it was hilarious!

It made me look at adam in a whole new light.

Actually recently I saw "click" and I cried so I think he's a good serious actor, and he CAN be funny but ironically his comedies suck mostly hah

anyways hands down the best movie he's in :)

His best performance by far was in "Punch Drunk Love". That was the movie where he shows how good of a serious actor he can be.

If his romantic scenes with Flor is the best he has, then he should never make another romance movie.

She was being very truthful with her feelings, and all he had to answer was that stupid, goofy look.

Sandler seemed to lightweight and his limited range was exposed in this film.

Its that man again!!

I love Adam's movies, for me his best role was Reign Over Me, totally different role for him to undertake and he did the role justice! Also love Happy Gilmore

Performance? He was just being normal for a change. If you think that's acting, don't ever become a critic or an acting teacher/coach.

Reign Over Me.
Punch-Drunk Love.
That's My Boy. (haha)

It has to do with him not writing the movie and padding it with all his inane buddies.

I agree. He was also good in Punch Drunk Love and Funny People; but in PDL, he played a kind of absurdist, rage-filled character, and in Funny People he played a version of himself (a famous actor who makes stupid comedies). So Spanglish is the only movie that I know of in which he plays a sympathetic but not goofy or bizarre character who is in fact a character (not himself). And he does it very effectively and appealingly IMO. Too bad it's apparently a one-off that bombed.

It was twice mentioned by two previous posters. but "Reign Over Me" was an amazing performance. I kept screaming at the TV, "WHY jack and Jill?". Highly recommended.

It's streaming on Netflix, so I will definitely check it out--thanks.

Sandler is an interesting piece of work.
It seems in the serious movies were he is not the director or anything, he shines.

When he is in charge with his comedies, he is horrible.
