...and it was quite possibly the best book I've ever read. I'm thinking about getting Scott Heim's other book, We Disappear. Has anybody read it? Is it good? Do you think I would like it since I love Mysterious Skin?

I just finished the book, too, and then finally watched the film. The book is the single best novel I have ever read in my entire life, which says a lot since I teach English and majored in literature. And the film is one of the top ten best films I've ever seen.
I haven't read any of Heim's other work, but I doubt he could ever create something as magical as Mysterious Skin again.
