Often farcical!
I mean that seriously. A lot of this show goes all the way into farce. People were probably not expecting that so that's probably why the ratings were not that good.
It's watchable once you understand what they're going for, but a lot of it has a rather high cringe factor.
Stephen Fry was doing a character akin to Monty Python I would say. I rather enjoyed that.
Wasn't crazy about the title of this. Fortysomething should be reserved for a thirtysomething sequel! They would have had a final title in Dr. Slippery.
