Couldn't Understand Words At End

What did T Cruise say when he was dying on the train at the end? Also,he pulled out a fresh clip for his gun but dropped it---why? Was it an empty clip? Disoriented? It looked like it was empty. He emptied his rounds out before that shooting at J Foxx---and why didn't he hit Foxx---were ALL the bullets stopped by that metal door? I CAN suspend my disbelief but it just seems like way too many unlikely occurrences. Any civil explanations are welcome. Thanks in advance!

He's retelling the story about the dead guy riding around on the MTA without anyone noticing.

He dropped the clip b/c he was mortally wounded by Max's shots. He was fading.

And bullets hitting or missing in movies have required suspension of disbelief forever.

The clip scene confused me because we clearly see the empty clip exit his gun and then he reaches into his shirt to grab another clip pulling out an empty hand but then immediately see a clip (which looks full) hit the ground in slo-mo so I'm not sure if they were showing us that he never had a clip and pulled out nothing and we saw the empty clip hit the ground in slo mo or that he dropped the full clip because Max successfully shot Vincent at least twice in the chest.

Cruise/Vincent asks Max that if a person dies on the MetroLA train would anyone notice. It's a reference to an earlier statement by Vincent to Max about how he hates L.A. because of how isolated and disconnected the people are there and cites a story about a man who died on a public transit and wasn't even noticed by the hundreds of people who sat next to him the entire day.
