Why Didn't Alan just take Judith back to court?

I think all divorced men feel abused by paying child support and alimony, but Alan was also a victim of his own stupidity at times (which got progressively worse as the series went on). Still, there have been a lot of one-sided divorce decrees that courts would never redress even if the man did try.
