Or would the money always win out? I still know many people who still love the old TAHM episode from early '2000s and watch them in syndication. Of course, that's just anecdotal evidence.
Guess one could argue that Sheen probably doesn't profit from syndication given that his relationship with CBS crumbled when Chuck fired him, though, I don't know for sure that that is the case. He may still make money off syndication.
