What happened to the little boy that they adopted

Why was he not in the last episode?

They couldn't think of any clever Sheen bashing comments for him to say .

You know the Anger Mangement line was funny.

reply

Not really since it ran for 100 episodes.

Anger Management was still a flop even though it reached 100 episodes.

FX seriously underestimated the "curiosity factor" for the first season when they set the average ratings bar that contractually obligate them to pickup the show for another 90 episodes.

Once the curiosity factor wore off after the first season (which is why ratings fell to less than a million viewers after just five episodes of the second had aired) FX were stuck with a project they had spent $100 million on (they paid $1 million for each episode).

That's why episodes aired on FOX for a month, to try and get new viewers interested in the show. That's why the show was re-tooled five times throughout the second season. That's why cast members were eliminated, to reduce production costs. That's why the show was pulled from the schedule in May 2014 and was burnt off later in the year.

It was a massive flop for FX.

That might be true but Anger Management was still a win for Charlie since he got paid for all 100 episodes. Now if it would have been cancelled after the first 10 episodes then it would have been a loss for Charlie. Poor George Lopez had the same deal with FX (the 10/100 deal) and unfortunately it didn't work out for him.

They did it for syndication. They'll make their money back.

reply

The show wasn't worth a dozen episodes. This was a greedy, phony attempt at syndication. They know some people will watch anything on TV. 12 hrs of L+O or Modern Family. They hoped to tap into this. It wasn't meant to be good. Just watchable, in the afternoon.
I hope it did fail!
And did Sheen really fire Selma Blair because she had the nerve to ask him to show up on time? It sure sounds like him!

reply

The show was a lot better with Selma Blair on it.

Nobody exists on purpose. Nobody belongs anywhere. Everybody's gonna die. ...Come watch TV?

I liked the show and what you say is your opinion not gospel.

reply

They realized, like so many sitcoms before them, that putting a kid in a failing show in a desperate attempt to not fail as bad was stupid and just decided to pretend they didn't do it because it was the final episode.

reply

Failing show, LMFAOOOO... Riiiiiight

reply

Failing show? TAAHM had excellent ratings right to the end. The last season sucked, but it still got good ratings.

The ratings were falling like a rock.
