Was this the worst last episode of any shows or what?!!

Really that was an horrible ending. You know that a last episode is bad when the producer makes it all about him!
This show should have ended years ago , it really was a dead horse for a long time but still what an atrocious last episode that was. I believed Alf and Roseanne had terrible last episode but this one eats the cakes...and the plate with it!!!

Worst ever

"it really was a dead horse for a long time " - That's probably why it was still among the MOST POPULAR shows on air right up to its final episode.

Well ... I guess people love animal cruelty !

reply

Nope. Actually ABC ended the series because of dropping ratings. It was not popular anymore after Ashton entered the scene.

First off, it was on CBS and secondly it lasted FOUR years with Ashton - and his first episode was the show's highest ever ratings (obviously because of the aftermath of Sheen's exit but still)

Some popular shows don't last four years (Firefly, Veronica Mars, Pushing Daisies, Wonderfalls, Hannibal)
So sorry, but Ashton did not kill this show - an extra FOUR seasons post-Sheen is a very good accomplishment IMO

reply

But they had to make so much effort in pulling through those four years. Besides people were still hoping till the last episode that Sheen will make a comeback.

reply

yeah we were hoping Sheen returned - but that was the LAST EVER EPISODE - that had no effect on how 'popular' the show was in the Kutcher years

they had to make no effort in pulling through those years - another member of the original cast ripped into the show (because you know, religion is stupid) then left and the show STILL lasted two more seasons after that - the Ashton years were in no way a failure - the ratings were still passable for CBS, it lasted four years with another cast change later on - it was still a big news story at times (Angus' stupid rant, his exit, Amber Tamblyn's introduction, The final season gay marriage storyline and the series finale) - those were still big news stories
People talked about it - people still loved it (me included), I'd agree that it was a failure if CBS cancelled it after the 9th or 10th season but another 4 seasons post sheen is in no way a failure

It was horrible. Nothing but digs at Charlie Sheen and stupid puns about the ending of the show.
A large part of the final season was Walden trying to adopt Lewis but the kid didn't even appear in the last episode, there wasn't even a mention of him.

It was an absolute disaster

reply

Yes, it was

As an episode itself, I liked it and the breaking the forth wall jokes. As a finale, it sucked. I like to think of episode 12X14 as a series finale (walden living happily with the kid, Alan's going to marry Lyndsey), and the actual finale as just a bonus fun episode.

I think Family Matters last episode is way worst than the last episode of Two And A Half Men. I hate it when television shows end on a cliff hanger and there is no resolution to the story line.

reply

The finale was bad, but nowhere close to the worst ever. Several worse ones come to my mind immediately: Dexter, How I Met Your Mother, CSI NY, Alias, and although I never saw any episode of the show, everyone I know who watched Lost said the finale was a rage-inducing disaster.

reply

How I met your mother was pretty damn bad. CBS sure knows how to end a show huh?
