Hello, my teacher showed us some is this film in my production class and I went home and watched it on my own. Today he asked me if I caught the significance of the bell ringing outside the house. I was so focused on getting the plot right that I barely noticed.
Does anybody know the significance or representation of the bell ringing?

There is a bell hanging out at the front entrance to the house, it sounds like a wind chyme, it rings throughout the movie.
I actually got a chance to ask him and he said it rings whenever you see so-yeon or the ghost.
Hmmm. I'll have to look out for that next time I watch the film.
I honestly don't remember hearing the bell whenever we see Su-Yeon. I remember hearing the bell whenever the action is outside because it's fairly windy there, regardless of who is in the shot.
