Their way of speaking was in consistent with the time then, they didn't speak in 'what's up dude' or 'oh my god,like whateva!' language.
Besides, the 1800s is the time of modern english so the way they speak is similar to how we normally speak now
However, did Ginger not say something along the lines of "Im 'gonna' get you out of here" to that little boy im sure she said 'gonna' instead of going to.
I agree it should have been more old englishy kinda dialogue!
