I'm new to the series...

I was up late the other night, and decided to check out Ginger Snaps Back on OnDemand. I was thinking it was going to be one of those stupid, low-budget B-movies, but I was SO wrong! I had LOW expectations, I really can't say why, but it really took hold of me and didn't let go. I loved the writing, the actresses (Gorgeous!) and the cinematography...I could go on and on. Anyway, I don't want to read other threads, because I haven't seen the other movies. It's dumb to come in on the third one, but I did, and now I cannot wait to watch the others.
Wow, I didn't mean to go on so long...anyway, from you Seasoned Ginger Vetrans, are the first two as good/better? Because this one impressed the hell out of me.

Haha Thanks for the reply!!!
I will watch the first two in sequence, and from what I hear it will be easy to pretend I didn't see the 3rd one first, with it being nothing like the others. I normally don't watch sequels before the original, I think that kind of crap is reserved for the idiots who rent movies just for the pretty pictures on the cover. I hadn't heard much about the series, and from older trailers I thought it looked like a typical B-movie, basically 2hrs of boobies and screaming lol But it was late, nothing else was on OnDemand, and I like to watch movies when I'm feeding my daughter, so I just tried it out thinking 'what the hell, can't be worse than Langoliers' (Which was also on)
I liked it so much because my expectations were so low that they pretty much didn't exist. If I liked this though, then from what you're saying the first one will blow my mind. Again, thanks for the reply.

I really loved it too, and I also really loved the original, but they are actually quite different films. This one (Ginger Snaps Back) is more mature, and more centred on the world of adults (and the werewolves looked better, too!). The original was more focused on the world of adolescents, and used werewolfism as a metaphor for puberty. It was very well done, and I was blown away by it when I first saw it, and they are two of my favourite films, but just bear in mind that they are very different films, so I recommend you treat them largely as two different films (even though there is a connection between them, it being the spiritual/historical connection between the two Gingers and the two Brigets).

I didn't like the second film as much, but I did like it; just not enough to be a favourite. I hope you really enjoy the Singer Snaps films!

I didn't like this one at first, but I love it a lot now.But I don't know if it's my favorite of the series. It might beat the 2nd one,but it can't top the original.
