This films don't make sense.

Okay right. The first movie was supposed to be about the onset of puberty and how it changes you.
Such as when Ginger was bitten she started her period and throughout the movie Ginger gets hotter and people start fancying her more as the transistion from girl to woman and the transistion from human to werewolf.
And Brigitte felt left out from the experience as she was not as close to her anymore because of 'the curse'.
How the hell does the second film fit into that theory?
is it Brigittes turn with puberty?
becoming a druggie and going mental.
The third one has to be the worst idea for this franchise as well.
It has nothing to do with it.
it would be an awesome prequel if the movies were only about werewolves and becoming one, but they're not!
Sorry but i was rewatching them all last night and it made me think.
Also in the third movie they're is the "together, forever" aspect but they don't dwell on the death so much.
*rant over*

Brigitte: You gave it to Jason. You had unprotected sex and you infected him.
Ginger: Ooops.

Its not so much just about puberty and goin mad as it is about 2 sisters who share a very special bond that no matter what happens they will do whats best for their sibling...

Ginger Snaps = Ginger turning into a werewolf and bridgette stopping her before she destroyed both their lives

Ginger Snaps Unleashed = Bridgette turning into a werewolf and although albeit as a ghost, Ginger is there to guide her, to tell her whats happening

Ginger Snaps Back = Despite Ginger being bitten again, Bridgette would rather kill anyone who harms her than kill her sister

Just because that was the theme in the first movie, doesn't mean it would be the same for the second.

Why not? i think it shows that they r both there for each other and not being selfless

I dont have a problem with the central themes, I can accept the 1st two are an aspect of puberty and the curse nd stuff...what I really don't understand, if this is meant to be a prequel, why did Ginger get bitten in this and turn into a werewolf, and then in the 1st ginger snaps which is meant to be sometime after, she gets bitten again and goes through the whole werewolf turning process again.

Im sure theres something Im missing but if anyone can make sense of this I'd be grateful.

The 3rd film, was made to show that it was a re-occuring bond between them. The two girls in the first 2 movies were a re-incarnation of the the one's in the 3rd film.

If you listen to the Shaman she explains it. Their is a balance between 2 sisters 1 red and 1 black. And since Bridgett went agianst the balance by not killing Ginger she cursed her bloodline allowing it to re-occur later. Meaning if Bridgett would have killed Ginger the 1st 2 movies would have never have happened.

So think of the fist 2 films as a second chance for Bridgett to fix the Balance.
