She seems to have a chip on her shoulder, and heels make it even harder to reach and knock off.

I agree! I think when a woman is wearing a dress, that heels look better and provide a nicer line. I'm 5'9" and I wear flats a lot, but sometimes I like the look of a heel, and if I end up being over 6 ft. tall, so what?

Some tall women feel that wearing flats makes them feel masculine while heels makes them feel girly, so even though they tower over men even more, they'd feel more masculine to be wearing flats.
