All double episodes? "Off load this show now!" - Will be last season

It's a sign of a show that isn't going to be renewed. I guess it will be terminated.

Last trump apprentice was double episodes too

reply

Hmmmm, generally a good thing is drawn out and doubling up is off loading. The show was retired for a year so maybe they weren't sure how a reboot would go.

And, it was not picked up for two years until NBC ran out of shows.

Prior to Trump's last season, were the episodes one hour each?

I have to say, people should have given this season a chance. Yes the format is the same: the panel of three (Arnold and the two advisors), the two celebrity teams of opposite sex, the influx of advertisers/celebrity turned marketers, and the the charitable game. HOWEVER, THERE ARE A FEW SHINING CHANGES THAT TURNED THE GAME INTO A [GAME]!

1. Arnold brought a humanness to the show-

a) Even when he is gruff and says 'meanly' , "call Me govenor" or different ways that they're fired and "get to the chopper" - the viewer knows that he doesn't mean it! He's a growls kitten but it's nice that he continues the show's tradition but isn't an butthole like Trump.

b) he smiles and is affable. He doesn't have a scowl and fishy pout then commands the group and leaves immediately. (Yes Trump showed sometimes and smiled sometimes but he did not have a smile in his voice and his accent was hoity toity but Arnold had that accent and his speech had a pacing that made me feel good- like he didn't change himself just because he got rich. He kept a piece of homeland in his speech). Good peoples he be.

c) he was personable with his stories of his own failings and successes (at the panel) as examples in order to either to advise for "next time" or for those who feel dispirited right before they get fired he gave stories of his harder times and how it helped him and the loss in that experience would benefit the loser at the time of the episode. (He softens his words with the stories). Trump was too good to share, he he didn't share struggles and hardships. Maybe he didn't have any? Oh wait, he filed bankruptcy... oh wait. He rich anyway... he doesn't know what it's like to be like the common people like American viewers.

d) Arnold's questions were very pointed and direct. Personal and pushy. Love it! Did not allow nepotism and allow anyone to fish out of it. Love it!

Sorry about grammar, English is not my first language. I hope you understand my general meaning?

1. He kind
2. Communicative
3. Relative and willing to give and take in baring personal information
4. He follow format but add personal touch.

I should've said this in first place. Sorry. !!!

reply

You said it well! I like Arnold in this role. He does try to make things personable and relates his own personal stories to help the contestants. And he always seems to have nice things to say about them before he "terminates" them! I hope they have him on again for another season.

1- love his casual wear while spying!!!!!

2- Love his furrowed brow (trying to figure where Porcha was going with her answer) and his interruption "Maybe something got lost in the translation with my Austrian accent?" Lol

3- the native language with his "nephew?" As joke about firing Porcha and keeping straight face and seeing "biggest loser trainer" guy look nonplussed (like he didn't know if Arnold was joking or not) Funny!

4- all of people ribbing and laughing with humor. So good to see.

5. Arnold said vehemently "now, get to the chopper!" Then smiled to Vince! (Laughing)

reply

I agree. If it were one hour, I'd watch. Otherwise, it gets boring.

reply

Arnold does try to turn it back into real world examples which is good. I think he truely disliked Porsha though.

reply

He just couldn't stand her non-stop waffling and dodging answering the question, not just one but every single time he asked her anything.

reply

Lady jaded, I agree 1000000%

Have two (or more) elimatiobs a week rushes the show along too quickly. Finest allow the show to get momentum. Also makes it hard to watch when it initially airs. Which I don't like because I knew Sookie and Shaell were found home before I actually watched. The internet always posts something and I can not stay off the internet for days. Bad decision to have two hour episodes, but yes they did that for Trump too and I didn't like that either.

The show is done though and it's not Arnold's fault. Trumps name is still attached to this.

...Zing!

reply

I agree. Don't need 2 episodes back to back. There are other things to do with my night than watch double of this.

reply

If you dvr it or get it online it's only an hour and 20 minutes. Commercials take up tons of time.
