IMDB shutting down message boards in February
The boards are shutting down permanently on February 20th. Does anyone know if we'll see the finale before then? Half the fun is coming here to read the posts after each episode!

shareI'll miss these boards. Pretty much the only reason to go to imdb. Anyway, I'll be switching to previously.tv
sharepreviously.tv just made me feel like an old person.
I hate the format.
I hate the layout.
I hate trying new things.
I don't let anyone hot-comb out my HAIRitage!
I know what you mean! They also OVER-moderate over there. I don't like the feeling of being that micro-managed. I read there off and on, but haven't posted yet, because it makes me nervous that I'll get off topic for a minute and receive the warning I've seen so many others get. The thing is.....I'm almost always interested in where the conversation was going before the moderator shut it down. It makes me mad that I don't get to hear where the conversation would have gone, like we did here. I'm not talking about the petty fights between posters -- that, I could do without. Even so, I'd almost rather have that type of fighting than the robotic feel of being afraid to offer a differing opinion I often sense over there.
shareThey also OVER-moderate over there.
Does Reddit over-moderate, too? is it different from previously TV?
shareThey banned me for asking stupid questions. So yes, total over moderation.
shareFor each reddit sub the mods are too heavy-handed, the discussion format is lame as fck and confusing and post visibility is predicated on ratings so tough sht if you don't follow the herd. If you just want to casually shoot the sht about movies or a tv show you'll get buried if not outright removed by a mod before anyone even sees your thread. IMDB is nice, there's a forum for every show and film, and if messages ever do get deleted it generally takes weeks (or at least used to take that long) before they're eventually deleted but by then the discussion has died down anyway.
Too bad, I'd just rather not post at all than have my posts filtered to such a heavy degree.
