Let down(sort of)after first scene

Only just got round to watching this and never read anything before about this film.
I really enjoyed it but thinking about it now i was very disappointed that Paul Dano wasn't in the whole film, i know that would be impossible as we jump forward but he was amazing in those first few minutes. an incredible actor who can pull of some amazing characters.

I agree.. the opening was insane. Its a shame the movie never lived up to it.

He's the "milkshake" guy, isn't he? Yes, I was dissapointed the way it went. Hawke looks nothing bloody like him.

It's funny, because I came on here expecting a topic about this to be made. The opening was amazing... rest of the movie, not so much.

Gotta say I was disappointed when I realized he wasn't going to be in the rest of the movie.

Yeah, thought the same; we go from Dano's disturbing portrayal to bad acting from ole' trout-lips.

It was a really good intro. Loved the understated, but clearly maniacal smile on Martin's face, when he realises he's pulled it off.

The novel was so good I still remember it from years ago but the movie keeps putting me to sleep.

They should be focusing on the killer not on the annoyingly childish police officers.
