In agreement of sorts
I agree with AnotherDay's comment. "I came around". Here's for all of you who think, rightfully so in my opinion, that Wes Anderson films are for film students and otherwise pop-culture hipsters that can't get enough of "Room 237". Anyhow, for you.
This is the second time I've watched Life Aquatic. It's actually a fun movie with a plot that's not as abstract as the actual cinematography, lighting, whimsical sets and Asteroid City-like props wants you to believe. There's subtle humor, but not enough to make we want to think about the jokes since I can tell from the start I won't laugh at them. And here it is: please tell me why the scene with Jeff Goldblum and Cody the dog was so funny. People seem to love it.
Anyhow, from a non-thinking, un-hip viewer, it's kind of a fun watch.
