This movie makes me think about life, and the life I have lived, and all the mistakes I have made--and it makes me smile. Because life is wonderful and ridiculous, and we all walk a strange path...and there is always something new to learn. And it's okay to make mistakes. We learn from our mistakes.
And it's okay to be a dreamer. We must follow our dreams, no matter how difficult the path. This life is not only for ourselves, it is also for those we encounter along the way. And for those who encounter us.

Hmm maybe i will partake. Is it funny, or more of a darker comedy?

It has some funny moments, but it feels more like a drama, albeit very lighthearted. It’s a feel-good think-piece.

James Thurber, author of the short story, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, was a gifted humorist and author. If we must praise this movie, we must praise its source. The story is Thurber’s, not the screenwriter’s, not the director’s.

I know: History. Authors. How dull, right?
