Dang that was fast!
it only took one year for this 1 2 come out after the 1st
shareYeah, it's kinda like that with the Spy Kids series.
The 1st one came out in 2001, then the 2nd one came out in 2002 and the 3rd one came out in 2003. Also they annouced about really early because from all that money it was successfully making at the box office. I read about it in a newspaper article one time. I'm excited about it because I'm glad that Hannah from S Club 7 is going to be in it! Because I'm a big S Club 7 fan!
Spy Kids /= Agent Cody Banks.
Let me set something straight here. The reason Agent Cody Banks 2 was finished less than a year was because a bunch of fat guys noticed that the "Spy Kids" movies were doing well and said "Hey, let's make a franchise of our own! With 3 movies! (I know, ACB 3 isn't out yet, but just wait.)
Now, the reason the "Spy Kids" movies came out so quickly is because the man who made them (Robert Rodriguez, one the most kick-azz people ever) said "Hey, this child spy thing is cool! I'm gonna make more!" and shot the movies almost entirely on his own little studio in Texas, after asking a bunch of his ridiculously awesome Holywood friends (Sly Stallone, George Clooney, Selma Hayek, Antonion Banderas, Steve Buscemi, etc.) to be in them as pretty much a favor. And all movies were shot at under $40 mill. very low budget.
So, what do we learn, kids?
"Spy Kids" = good, passionate filmmaking
"Agent Cody Banks" = very good. For me to poop on!
