Would be huge if it came out now in 2016 with the world today

What with the extreme popularity of SuperHero movies, feminism, girl power, and that jazz this movie would a smashing hit today if it were to come out. Wonder Woman is also coming out next year and is getting a huge amount of buzz and will break the box office. A lot of these older Super Hero movies were just badly timed. This movie wasn't amazing, but if it was remade with 2016 camera work, action fight choreography, and better direction it would be a big hit. Your thoughts?

I had the same thought after watching it.

If this got the feminist push that Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel got it would have been a smash hit both financially and commercially.

As odd as it sounds. Elektra was ahead of it's time.
