My main complaint was the ending, which wasn't explained in any way, and it made it seem like watching the movie didn't lead up to anything. I had to read on boards and such to find out what actually happened. Nothing was explained, they just cut from a shootout which didn't feel explained enough to make me care about it, it felt like it was just building up to the actual finish. But then they cut to the end counseling session, and that's it. The movie up to that point wasn't too bad at all, I enjoyed it, but it might aswell have been like I had watched, well, any movie really, in the theater, and 10 minutes before the movie was supposed to end, the projector broke. That's exactly the impression I got at the end. Not exactly rhe stuff my dreams are made of. ;)

I totally agree. :) And the Trivia section says that there were 2 alternative endings with their bosses as villains, but they were cut out. Why on earth did the writers or producers think that no ending is better than the good ending with confrontation, resolution etc???

I guess because they thought the main point of the movie was John and Jane's relationship, and not about who the villians were. During the final shootout, the music from the night they first fell in love was playing and then you see them at the therapists office talking about their relationship. The resolution to the movie is that they could finally start being honest with each other and have real intimacy.

And it would be wonderful - if the film was a nice romantic drama, or love story, but the film seems to be an action movie. :)

Because it's a horrible *beep* movie.

I hate when people ask obvious questions.

The only people this "movie" entertained were people who think Brad Pitt is hot, people who think Angelina Jolie is hot, and people with an IQ under 12, which is pretty much the same thing.

Ah so in other words you loved this movie!

I think it's okay if you take it with a pinch of salt. It has some good comedic elements to it but on the downside, it is decidedly far-fetched. There's no way both John and Jane could take out an entire swat team!

I think both actors are sexy but that never prevents me from giving an objective critique. I certainly don't agree that to enjoy aspects of it I have to have an IQ of a 12 year-old as one poster suggests.

Like Vested says, just take it for what it is. It's bordering on comedy and not meant to be taken that seriously. Jane Smith using a handbag grapple to scale down the external wall of the hotel was laughable - but not meant to be serious I thought

You're right, Vince Vaughn was funny. The diner scene alone was priceless.

Vaughn: "You're in a zone now I can't even talk to you."
Pitt: "Laptop."
Vaughn: "Yeah laptop."

Save Eli Stone

>>its entertainment.<<

Something has to be "entertaining" to be considered "entertainment".

This is just boring, braindead crap with two overrated, overexposed "A-listers" who can't act for *beep*
