When Amy opens her Christmas gift from Brad, what is the significance of the snow globe? I've watched this movie several times, but I am yet to catch the meaning...anyone?

Good question. I don't get it either. It was a nice gift but her reaction points to it meaning more.

In the scene where Meredith moves into Amy's room - but it's way more obvious in a deleted scene - you see that Amy collects snow globes. They're all around her room. The significance is nothing more than he knows who she is and bought her gift accordingly.
