This "finger" poster is impossible!!
Try it yourself.
How can you raise the ring finger of the left hand like that?!

Lol, ouch just tried. Not possible. At a glance, it looks like the middle finger. Was that the intention? A big F U for a movie poster? Why did they choose such a weird poster? This whole movie was a mess top to toe - bad script, bad casting, the long beginning with the credits and Christmas cards (I thought modern movies ditched showing credits at the start).

Completely implausible and inappropriate, and I couldn't do it even when I forced my other fingers down.

Plus, "Committed" did it first – to equally lackluster results.

Considering the gay-love theme throughout this movie, maybe the poster is mocking the traditional marriage with the traditional ring. I have no idea, it's just a silly thought that popped into my head reading your post. I may be wrong, but who knows!
