If Fiona didn't yell for help, he wouldn't have left the doorway with Sam and he wouldn't have died

What's really stupid is, he fell for the "save the cat in a disaster" ploy. People, if you're in a disaster, the last thing you're gonna want to do is save your cat. Cats are good at keeping themselves safe. They don't need your help, seriously.
