I was offended at 'big mac or rice cake scene'...

As an overweight girl, I seriously need to lose weight. Austin is making the assumption, just because I choose to eat rice cakes instead, I am one of those girls who cares so much about body and what not... TO THE EXTREME.

And you know what the saddest thing is? It's because of people like him that causes girls to be the exact same way he's criticising!! ARGH!

I'd much rather take Carter!!!

He was meaning the girls who are very skinny... like his ex-girlfriend. He wasn't talking about the girls who need to lose weight.

Psst! Austin is a fictional character is a very silly movie

I didn't think of that... but that line always bothered me!
He clearly liked pretty skinny girls but still he wanted a girl with a real big appetite? I hate that. Its better to be skinny and eat Mcdonalds everyday then to be skinny and actually work for it(not starving yourself, but working out and not eat that much unhealthy stuff)

Well actually no that part I did understand. When he says he likes a girl with an appetite he meant he doesn't like girls who OBSSESS over thier wieght and looks. That doesnt mean that he doesnt want a girl who is not healthy. Sam wasn't extra skinny but she wasn't fat either, she was just average. Just becasue she says she would rathar have a big mac over a rice doesn't cake doesn't mean she ears burgers every day! Austin's ex-girlfriend didn't like eating any fat or any carbs at all! and all she cared about was her looks.

Remember he mentions to his friend later that he liked PrincetonGirl/Sam becasue she has "MORE" on her mind that "JUST" what she wears and how much she weighs. Clearly that doesn't mean he wants a girl who doesn't care about her looks and weight at all, he just doesn't want someone who ONLY cares about that stuff.

You were seriously offended by that? Geez, I'll even admit, I'm a little overweight myself and I'd STILL rather have a Big Mac way over a damn rice cake.

I'm a Little Monster :)

You are forgetting the context of that question. He is asking a girl who obviously isn't over weight that question.

reply

I fully agree with Jodi. Austin probably didn't want a girl who only cared about personal appearances.

You're fat. Big deal. Why don't you just take responsibility for your own weight instead of trying to blame society, or social media, or whatever other bull you're trying to peddle. You're fat because you choose to eat unhealthily and not exercise. If you want to be skinny, get your life together and stop blaming other people!!!

Boy I hoped you matured since this comment.

He wasn't talking about overweight people. He was talking about girls who aren't overweight BUT still have a hearty appetite. Those who don't have an eating disorder like Madison...

Were you even paying attention? lol! He said it after Sam gave him that confused look.

I personally thought over it, and it only bothered me because 1) I don't eat meat and McDonald's 2) some people like rice cakes as a snack
