Was there a 'Shelby' in the original Cinderella story?

I'm just asking after reading a version of Cinderella in the form of a YA historical fiction novel and there is a "Shelby" character in the book, so I was wondering if there was one in the original story as well.

Though there have been many variants of the Cinderella story from around the world and through the ages, the one upon which we base most of our modern tales is ‘Cendrillon’ written by Charles Perrault, translated as ‘Cinderella’ in English. It’s a fairly simple story, where none of the characters have real names (even Cinderella’s actual name is never given). Characters other than the central character were rarely given names in folk stories of this period. In Cinderella the only secondary characters are the father, the step-mother, the step-sisters, the prince, and the fairy godmother. So, no Shelby. Sorry.

I once read that Shelby was based on Lucifer. Now I'm not sure about he original book but I remember in the Disney version Lucifer being the cat? Although I'm not sure that helps.
