can anyone please explain to me....

... the whole thing with the salmon and Fiona? I don't really get the point. In the commentary the actors mention that it was thought up by the writer but I don't understand its point or relevence to the story.

Just one of her quirks I think. Plus, she was trying to be all sophisticated and in her mind, rich, sophisticated people ate things like that. Remember her comment about Jennifer Lopez not having a brown lawn?
What's your name, son?
Zeke Robertson. And I ain't your son either.
Catch ya on the flip side.

Oh my gosh, thanks for replying! I asked this ages ago and it was kind of ignored (well more than kind of... more like totally lol) so I forgot about it. But cheers!

Yeah I get it's one of her little quirks, I guess that's why she insisted on putting it all her food (pankakes etc)... because all "rich" and "sophisticated" people eat salmon in every single meal... in her mind anyway lol. That makes sense. Cheers!

Also, if you watch the early scene by the pool, she's reading a book called "The Salmon Diet"--sounds like a new fad that went out of control!

Fiona was really big on getting her Omega-threes and Salmon is a great way to get some.

I dont think its really meant to mean anything. I think its just there to go along with the film LOL also it makes Fiona seem quite demanding asking for Salmon all the time and wanting it in her food. Maybe it shows power... but is also quite funny becuase it is silly!

I hate it when the chefs uses the salmon as a ventriloquist dummy.
