How did Fiona get a fake Princeton letter?

After Sam was already accepted, how was it possible for Fiona to have a rejection letter (with Princeton letterhead and all of that) ?

That's the only thing about the movie I didn't get.

Oh, and at one point Austin says Sam's phone was locked so he couldnt get any information about her....but yet he could read the texts she got? When my phone is locked, I can't read the texts I get unless I unlock it first...

She used the real one as a model. With this and a computer to copy any letter style, it's as easy as changing "We're glad to inform you (insert good news here)" to "We regret to tell you (insert bad news here)". As for the cell phone thing, that I have no explanation for.

In relation to the cell phone, it may have a feature similar to the iPhone where you can preview the messages without opening them?

reply

To an adult, it's very obvious that it was fake.

No rejection letter straight out states. "Your decision has been rejected"
Usually they say it in other words without using the word "rejected"

I was looking for clues as to how Fiona faked that letter. I thought that I saw the main body of the fake letter had a darker background than the letterhead and margins. But I can't be sure of that.

reply

My mom thinks her daughters might have helped with the fake letter

2 ways:

1) Either Fiona knew "someone"

2) Or Sam was too distracted from crying to pay attention to minor details at the moment, such as no letter head, etc.
