There was a part when Brigitte and Ghost were lying next to each other on the floor and Brigitte reaches out and puts her arm around Ghost. It was a little sweet and a little sad because Ghost was probably the first person Brigitte had gotten close to since Ginger died. Sucks for Brigitte that Ghost turned out to be a psycho. The scene really showed Brigitte's lonely existence, living with the disease and with only her sister's ghost as company. Fittingly enough in the next scene Brigitte wakes up and Ghost is gone, showing she'll always be alone.

You're right, until you got to "always be alone." What? She turns into a werewolf at the end. Arguably, she's only Brigitte for one more day.

This movie had a few good things about it. Brigitte growing as a character was one of them. Emily Perkins playing Brigitte was a major part of this, especially when the screenplay did not give her any help.
