Question about the dvd quality...flickers?

I was wondering if anybody else's copy of this film 'flickers' every few moments throughout the film? Now, I know the film is soft-looking and I'm getting used to that (although it's one of the softer dvd transfers I own), but when I first watched it on my computer, I noticed it did this for the whole film. Personally, I though it was kind of distracting and weird...unless it was intentional based on the film used during the production, or maybe it was just the monitor I was watching it on, LOL.

Anyway, what are your thoughts and have you noticed this 'flickering' on your copy? I own the U.S. release, but I'm guessing the Canadian version doesn't do this, ha.
