I loved this movie,but the ending,i really didn't like it. i mean it was tottally unpredictable and it twisted it up and i respect that but how could they leave us wanting so much more like that! there has to be another Ginger Snaps. It most definitely could happen.

shareWhile I too crave closure, nothing can ever be produced that would meet my expectations. This is one of the most perfect and genuine tragic endings I've ever seen in any film of series of films.
If one day Emily and Katharine were to team up with the Soska sisters aka the twisted twins or whatever they go by, it would make for a spectacular addition to the trilogy. They directed and wrote I believe, American Mary with Katharine as the lead. The double bonus is they are from the same area of BC (the coast/Vancouver) Canada, as Katharine and Emily.
That's not gonna happen, I'm afraid. As much as I love Emily and Katharine, by the time any movie like that is produced, they will not be able to convincingly depict teenagers. They were already mature for their parts by the time the sprequels were made. That's probably largely the creators motives for ending it the way they did. I mean, what I think of Unleashed is it's a great way to kill the series.
Though I know for a fact the Soskas would love to team the two actresses up in a horror movie, it won't be a Ginger Snaps film. In fact, to make sure it's not mistaken for one, they might stay away from werewolf movies with it.
If the series lives on, it's going to have to be in fan fiction, and/or comics and graphic novels. I'm trying to do my part:

this second movie might be better then the first. i do love the idea of the twisted twins teaming up with Katharine isobel and Emily Perkins

I'm sorry, I don't agree. Though the second is a much more of a pure horror film and it had a mind-blowing plot concept. However, the director didn't know how to pace scenes. It's very slow. The script is mediocre. But Emily Perkins' performance saves everything and makes it all worthwhile. Tatiana Maslani gets the assist.
Yet, I think Brigitte was the lamest, most pacifist werewolf, ever. I wish they had gone with a screenplay where Ghost, Tyler and Alice all get killed early on. There's something wrong with your werewolf when someone like Tyler pulls the crap he does and walks out of the scene alive.
