I LOVE this show!
I watched it on Netflix. I'm now watching another Bryan Fuller creation, Pushing Daisies. After that I'll start on yet another Fuller show Wonderfalls.

All 3 are great! You have good taste.

Thanks. Wow. A blast from the past. Wonderfalls was really good too. But I think Dead Like Me was the best. What do you think?
π
I know I saw Wonderfalls but I don't really remember it. Niagara Falls gal, talking statues? Not sure I remember any more than that. But Dead Like Me I saw whole series twice, and Pushing Daisies I loved for its quirkiness and songs out of nowhere. Wish it went on longer.
The only reason I came to Dead Like Me here was because someone on the I Need to Know forum was asking about a scene from a TV show and it sounds VERY Dead Like Me. https://moviechat.org/bd0000001/I-Need-To-Know/5a2e54b68103470012e530cb/Tv-show-with-a-ghost Thought maybe someone had mentioned the scene this person remembers.
The only quirkiness I find these days is in Doctor Who, which I love, and Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, tho it may have jumped the shark this season.
I love DGHDA! For quirkiness, you should also check out Fargo and Legion.
π
You should also try British DGHDA with Stephen Mangan. Quirky, but not exactly the same kind of quirky. It's closer to the books.
Oh yes, I watch Fargo for sure. Legion haven't check out yet. Looks good, though. You might like Preacher, but it got super gross last season, so I'm now on the fence about it. Started to watch Happy! but opening was super bloody and I can't deal with that. And I'm serious about Doctor Who... it's as quirky as you can get and goes from fun and silly to downright scary. ("NuWho" since 2006 reboot.)
It's on my DVD list on Netflix, though it says there is a long wait. I think you will enjoy Legion. I've been thinking about Preacher but haven't jumped on board yet. Meanwhile, I'm really enjoying Black Mirror on Netflix.
π
I've heard good things about Black Mirror. Bummer it's stream only. I've been avoiding streaming content, bc of television addiction. It's just more crack for the crack head!

Yes, it's an excellent series. I also avoided streaming for a long time (Old Skol here), but I finally had to have the crack pipe, so I made the deal with the devil. Sometimes you just have to live Mas.
It's worth it though, cause you can get some really good series like Black Mirror. It's rated 8.9 on IMDB. There's very little on network or cable like this series. And you get to watch it commercial free! That's the best part. Another really good series which just started is The End of the Fucking World. It's rated 8.5 on IMDB, and features one of the stars from Black Mirror.
π
don't forget his version of hannibal.

I didn't realize he had done one. Man, that is a radical departure from these other shows he did.
π
actually it is not. if you watch it, you will find that the show just screams "fuller"! it is a million tim darker than what he usually does though, sure.
isn't he doing the new star wars show as well?
