Recommend me an interesting book?

By interesting I mean, somewhat relative to the philosophy used in the Gits, not necessarily fiction.

I'm new to philosophical works, but I'd probably be motivated enough to read through one if it's interesting.

Let's make it easier, what's your favourite philosophical work?

reply

Perhaps anything relating to epistemology (theories of knowledge/belief). Kant's Critique of Pure Reason is an excellent start, but reading that without a phil professor is rather difficult.

Or were you looking for something related to human/computer interaction?

It doesn't have to be human/computer interaction, just topics that are discussed in or at least mildly related to ghost in the shell.

For example, I read Salinger's Catcher in the Rye and, although good, I want some interesting non-fiction.

Thanks for the recommendations. :)
